Cortazu Warranty PolicyUpdated 20 hours ago

At Cortazu, we stand behind the quality of our products. All our outerwear is covered by a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers any issues with the original, unmodified materials and fabrics used in our products.

Important Note:

Products purchased before April 2025 are still covered under our original 5-year warranty.

This update aligns us with industry standards and supports our shift toward more sustainable materials, innovative repair programs, and reducing waste. As we adopt more eco-friendly fabrics, some may have different durability traits. Our 3-year warranty ensures we continue to support product performance while staying committed to sustainability.

What’s Covered:

The warranty includes wear-and-tear issues under normal use, such as:

  • Seam tape delamination or peeling

  • Zipper malfunctions (getting stuck or breaking)

  • Membrane failures affecting waterproofness or breathability

  • Velcro losing adhesion

  • Logo fading (for products less than 1 year old)

  • Hood/waist mechanism issues (for products less than 2 years old)

What’s Not Covered:

The warranty does not cover:

  • Fabric tears or abrasions from extreme use or rough conditions

  • Damage from accidents or misuse (e.g., snagging on sharp objects)

  • Improper care or cleaning methods

  • Natural wear, such as loss of water repellency over time

  • Logo fading (for products over 1 year old)

  • Hood/waist issues (for products over 2 years old)

  • Wear and tear fabric damage related to sweat (over time, salt from sweat, body oils, and dirt can degrade the fabric and affect performance, especially if the jacket isn't cleaned regularly)

To keep your hardshell jacket performing at its best: Wash it periodically, even if it doesn’t look visibly dirty. Sweat, oils, and dirt can clog the membrane, reducing breathability and water repellency, and eventually cause material breakdown. Always follow the care instructions on the label inside your jacket.
