Cortazu Warranty Policy: What is covered?Updated a day ago
All Cortazu outerwear purchased in the EU is covered by a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase.
Warranty Coverage by Year
Years 1–2
During the first two years, any manufacturing defect—once reviewed and approved by our production team—will be resolved free of charge. This may include repair or replacement, as well as all associated costs such as parts, labor, and shipping.
Year 3 +
During the third year:
Repairs for manufacturing defects are available with a 50% customer contribution toward repair costs
If a replacement is preferred, we offer a discount on a new product
What’s Covered
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, including:
Seam tape delamination or peeling
Zipper malfunctions
Membrane failures affecting waterproofness or breathability
Velcro losing adhesion
Limited-time coverage:
Logo fading: up to 1 year
Fabric colour discoloration: up to 1 year
Hood and waist adjustment mechanisms: up to 2 years
What’s Not Covered
The warranty does not cover:
Tears, abrasions, or damage from extreme use
Accidental damage, misuse, or improper care
Natural wear over time (e.g. loss of water repellency)
Fabric damage caused by sweat, body oils, salt, or dirt buildup
To maintain performance, we recommend washing your jacket regularly and following the care instructions on the label. Wash it periodically, even if it doesn’t look visibly dirty. Sweat, oils, and dirt can clog the membrane, reducing breathability and water repellency, and eventually cause material breakdown.

Replacements
If a replacement is approved, we will offer the same model where available. If the model is no longer in stock, suitable alternatives will be discussed. Replacement products are shipped once the defective item has been returned.
Important Notes
Products purchased before April 2025 remain covered under our original 5-year warranty
Products purchased through third-party retailers should be handled by the original retailer. Customers who purchased through our partner retailers are welcome to use our repair services. However, as these products are covered under a different warranty, repair costs are not included and must be paid by the customer.
This warranty does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer law
