Do I have to pay customs?Updated a month ago

Cortazu is not responsible for any additional customs charges once the parcel reaches your country, nor the cost of return shipping should you refuse delivery.

For shipments outside of the EU, import and tax costs are at your own expense. Please note that the UK is NOT part of the EU therefore subject to taxes.

We ship all orders from the Netherlands, which means the following may apply depending on your shipping destination:

European Union (EU):
Orders shipped within the EU will not incur customs fees or import duties. VAT is included in the purchase price, so there are no additional charges upon delivery.

United Kingdom (UK):
Since the UK is no longer part of the EU, UK orders may be subject to import duties, VAT, or handling fees upon arrival. These charges are set by UK customs and depend on the value of your order. Unfortunately, we cannot estimate or reimburse these fees. We recommend checking with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) for the most up-to-date information.

United States (USA):
Customers in the U.S. may be charged import duties if the total value of their order exceeds $800 USD. Update (Feb 2025): Recent changes to U.S. import regulations mean that some orders below $800 may also incur duties or tariffs.

Other International Destinations:
For countries outside the EU, UK, or US, import duties and taxes may apply. These charges vary and are determined by your local customs authority. We always recommend checking your country’s import rules before placing an order.
